About the role

  • Translate Business Goals into Action: take client's commercial objectives and translate them into measurable paid media strategy.
  • Provide Strategic Guidance: build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and serve as expert advisor on paid media.
  • Deliver Measurable ROI: execute and continuously optimise campaigns to maximise return on investment.
  • Develop, implement, and manage paid media strategies across Google Ads and Meta platforms (Search, Display, YouTube, Performance Max, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Conduct audience research, keyword analysis, and competitive analysis to inform campaign strategy.
  • Manage all aspects of campaign setup including account structuring, ad copywriting, creative briefing, audience targeting, and budget allocation.
  • Execute A/B testing on ad copy, creative, landing pages, and targeting.
  • Monitor campaign performance daily and analyse metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS, conversion rates.
  • Utilise tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel to track performance.
  • Manage campaign budgets ensuring efficient spend and pacing.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for portfolio of clients; lead meetings, check-ins, and performance review calls.
  • Prepare and present detailed performance reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and provide strategic counsel to clients.

Requirements

  • Google Ads and/or Meta Blueprint certifications.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns, preferably in an agency environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing performance-based campaigns with demonstrable results (ROAS, CPA improvements, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Ads (including Search, Display, YouTube, Shopping, PMax) and Meta Ads Manager (including various campaign objectives and ad formats).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics is essential.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Cape Town.
