About the role
- Provide strategy and operational leadership for Clinical Operations activities focusing on site management and systems
- Build, lead and inspire a high-performing Clinical Operations department within the scope of responsibilities
- Ensure timely and high-quality execution of clinical trials related to agreed timelines, budget, GCP compliance and quality
- Resource, budget Planning and Controlling Clinical Operations within the scope of activities
- Liaises with the VP Clinical Operations, Germany on budget planning
- Contribute to the global clinical development strategy in close collaboration with global cross-functional stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate operational risks proactively
- With the EU counterpart, implement scalable processes and systems that support growth and adaptability
- Champion innovation in clinical trial execution, including emerging tools and agile methodologies
Requirements
- Min. Master’s Degree, preferably in life science or nursing; or equivalent
- At least 8 years of Clinical Operations experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry (mainly in clinical project management and group/department leadership), preferred in oncology and cell therapy
- At least 4 years line management experience
- Elevated level of individual responsibility, enthusiasm
- Strong team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Analytical reasoning and deep project management skills
- Independent, structured, reliable, resilient and foresighted working style
- Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly in a fast-paced and changing industry.
- Strategic thinker within Clinical Operations and beyond
- Proactively drive company standards and global harmonization in the Clinical Operations area.
- Proactively drive quality and efficiency to meet timelines and milestones to deliver high quality clinical trial deliverables.
- Open minded for rapidly changing requirements
- Outside the box thinking and a high degree of flexibility in an environment which is marked by a constant striving for excellence.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
