Design, develop, and enhance new and existing products/product lines.
Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and feedback to develop product concepts in 3D CAD.
Evaluate and recommend specifications and ensure products meet technical and functional requirements.
Recommend and follow reliable, efficient, and cost-effective procedures.
Create technical drawings and designs that are manufacturable and provide installation drawings and supporting documentation for installation in the field.
Perform feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs.
Work closely with other engineers to align designs with production capabilities and compliance standards and ensure project milestones and timelines are met.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience required
2-4 years of related product design experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in 3D CAD software, preferably AutoDesk Inventor and AutoDesk Vault
Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques, specifically in steel and sheet metal manufacturing environments
Strong organizational, critical thinking, communication, and people skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to accommodate periodic weekend or evening work
