Achieve and exceed sales objectives for Illumina’s oncology portfolio by winning new accounts, expanding existing relationships, and positioning Illumina as the partner of choice.
Develop and execute a territory business plan with clear objectives.
Build strong relationships with oncologists, molecular pathologists, laboratory directors, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to promote Illumina’s oncology solutions.
Partner with Account Managers and Channel Partners to identify opportunities, qualify leads, and close sales.
Present complex oncology workflows (NGS, liquid biopsy, companion diagnostics, biomarkers, etc.) with confidence to both clinical and research audiences.
Educate and support Account Managers, Sales Specialists, Channel Partners, and customers with resources, commercialization plans, and product updates.
Deliver high-impact presentations at customer meetings, seminars, and symposia.
Build and manage a robust short-, medium-, and long-term pipeline of oncology opportunities.
Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts using CRM tools.
Lead strategic projects in collaboration with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Market Access, and Government Affairs to strengthen Illumina’s position in oncology.
Provide market insights and feedback to marketing and product management teams to influence roadmap decisions and enhance customer experience.
Represent Illumina at oncology-focused congresses, tradeshows, and conferences across Iberia and Europe.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Life Sciences, Medicine, or related discipline strongly preferred.
Proven track record in sales within the oncology field.
Demonstrated success in growing specific market segments and developing key accounts.
Strong understanding of oncology workflows, including molecular biology, genomics, and NGS.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to network at all organizational levels and establish strong relationships with KOLs.
Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for advancing oncology care.
Fluency in Spanish and English required.
Willingness to travel ~60% across Spain and Portugal.
