- Leading a team of Civil / Structural Engineering professionals in Structural Assessment of Bridges
- Representing TfL Engineering as Technical Authority
- Overseeing assessment of diverse and ageing asset portfolio
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and assurance requirements
- Accountability for assessment decisions and risk management
- Setting technical direction for assessment methodologies
- Leading technical assurance activities on projects
- Managing workload, resources, and team capabilities
Requirements
- Chartered engineer with the UK Engineering Council or equivalent competencies
- Expert knowledge in leading and delivering complex structural assessments of bridges and railway structures
- Building and leading high-performing technical teams in regulated environments
- Providing technical leadership on major structural projects
- Technical assurance of multidisciplinary engineering work
- Legislation, technical standards, safety, environmental and sustainability considerations
