About the role

  • Assists in the definition of the project vision, objectives, scope, Levels of Capabilities (LOCs), preferably before the contract is awarded
  • Ensures definition, monitoring and documentation of the project (detailed project plan, milestones, and resource plan), involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring functional and technical feasibility
  • Pitches the essence (why) on the solution of the project to the project team and stakeholders, while managing the overall change process implicated by the project
  • Is the driver to successfully deliver the project and coaches the project team (combined ILIAS and customer team) to achieve and communicate the desired results
  • Completes the project according to the terms and conditions (time, budget, quality …) set forward in the contract
  • Establishes and manages the project team availability (at location), based on resource allocation, set forth by the responsible leads
  • Successfully manages the relationship, in close collaboration with the account manager, with the customer and stakeholders, providing effective communication, minimizing uncertainty and involving the customer in the project
  • Reports and escalates to management as needed (e.g. scope change, delays, budget, etc)
  • Recognizes risks that directly impact the likelihood of success and both formally (risk management) and informally manages and minimizes the risks throughout the duration of the project
  • Reviews and approves/rejects all project related costs
  • Attends Monthly Project Management Meeting (Risk Reporting) and Performs Risk Management of the Program
  • Guards Budget and scope of the project

Requirements

  • Experience on holistic thinking
  • Understands how the project (solution) fits the ILIAS overall strategy, priorities and business benefits
  • Grasps the essence on ILIAS processes and solutions
  • Is persuasive and able to gain the buy-in of others to achieve ILIAS objectives and customer results
  • Experience as a (senior) consultant and a proven track record in change management
  • Understands the interaction with the customer’s Project Manager and project members and the way to influence ownership, while achieving the overall change process implicated by the project
  • Implements plans for a program of change and assesses the change readiness at the customer site
  • Maintains business and process continuity throughout change, monitoring the impact, taking any required remedial action, and refining approach
  • Manages change considering structural and cultural issues
  • Experience in completing projects within time, scope and budget
  • Orchestrates projects to develop or implement new, internal or externally defined processes to meet identified business needs
  • Defines activities, responsibilities, critical milestones, resources, skills needs, interfaces and budget, optimizes costs and time utilization, minimizes waste and strives for high quality
  • Delivers project on time, on budget and in accordance with original requirements taking into account changing circumstances
  • Experience with Earned Value Management, Kotter change management principles guiding the people through the emotional responses of the Kübler-Ross Change Curve working in small project teams on site
  • Has affinity with logistics, aviation, Defense Industry and/or Military Operations
  • Is willing to travel for work and be onsite the project throughout the duration of the project
