About the role
- Deliver short-term psychotherapy to children, adults, and families based on primary care referrals
- Conduct initial and ongoing behavioral health assessments and develop care plans
- Identify social, emotional, and economic factors affecting patient care
- Provide crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and “warm hand-offs” in coordination with medical providers
- Collaborate with primary care teams and participate in case conferences and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate, legally defensible documentation in the EMR
Requirements
- Doctorate in Psychology (CA Psych License), or Master’s in Social Work (CA LCSW License), or Master’s in Counseling (CA LPCC License)
- BLS Certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years pre/post-licensure psychotherapy experience
- Child/adolescent experience preferred
- Experience in health-related psychotherapy (e.g., stress, chronic illness, smoking cessation)
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Competence in electronic medical record systems and ability to multitask during sessions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting
- Valid California professional license required (Psychologist, LCSW, or LPCC)
