About the role
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models and AI algorithms that drive critical decision-making capabilities within a Navy IT command
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and defense experts to build scalable AI/ML solutions tailored to national security and defense operations
- Apply cutting-edge AI/ML techniques to large, complex datasets while ensuring models are robust, interpretable, and secure
- Optimize models for performance, scalability, and reliability and support ongoing enhancements to AI-driven applications impacting Navy missions
- Provide thought leadership in the AI/ML space, driving innovation and best practices across the organization
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience or bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (desired)
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning models and AI algorithms
- Experience applying cutting-edge AI/ML techniques to large, complex datasets
- Experience optimizing models for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Experience ensuring models are robust, interpretable, and secure
- Experience collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and defense subject-matter experts
