About the role

  • Provide key outbound prospecting, sales support, and lead development for Ultimo.
  • Use various channels, such as calling, email, and social media, to engage prospects and qualify them as valid sales opportunities.
  • Engage in conversations of value based on research and understanding of the prospect and Ultimo.
  • Develop cold accounts into warm and targeted accounts through various efforts to provide value while aggressively targeting accounts.
  • Regularly communicate with sales representatives to review assigned accounts and make necessary adjustments.
  • Work alongside Account Executives to set meetings and penetrate targeted accounts.
  • Maintain relationships with an assigned group of target accounts and develop value in working with Ultimo.
  • Understand the functional competitive advantages of the Ultimo solution set and customize messaging to gain traction in accounts.
  • Work through ‘Gatekeepers’ to gain access to the relevant person/s in the prospective organization hierarchy.
  • Work with pre-sales and marketing teams to develop the territory and identify high-quality opportunities.
  • Help Marketing implement account-based marketing campaigns based on account plans built.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of proven software telemarketing, business development, inside sales, or software sales experience.
  • Genuine curiosity about technology and what it solves for real businesses
  • Confidence picking up the phone and opening a conversation with a senior professional
  • Coachability and genuine drive to develop — you want to be challenged, not just comfortable.
  • Ability to ask open-ended questions to uncover needs, learn more about the prospect, and better qualify.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Highly coachable, willing to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a specific emphasis on telephone skills.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Experience with contact management applications, such as SalesLoft or Outreach.
