About the role
- The Data Governance Analyst plays a key role in advancing the organization's data governance framework, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance across all business units.
- This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement data standards, policies, and procedures that enhance data management and decision-making capabilities.

Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management within the healthcare industry
- Hands-on experience working with Medicaid, Medicare, or other managed care programs also required
- Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Azure Purview) is preferred.
- Experience in the areas of medical or health services preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field
- In lieu of the required degree, a minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience is required for this position. This experience is in addition to the minimum years listed in the Experience Requirements above.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and healthcare data management best practices
- Knowledge of data modeling, metadata management, and master data management concepts
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, ICD-10, CPT) and regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, CMS)
- Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in data profiling, data quality assessment, and root cause analysis
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is required
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention-to-detail
- Ability to handle multiple projects, data input, and strong problem-solving capability
- Independent self-starter who is driven to success, takes great pride in accomplishments and works with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
