About the role

  • Prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing sales for IDEXX’s Rapid Assay, Chemistry, and Fecal businesses through phone, email, and virtual meetings with customers.
  • Collaborating with the field-based Veterinary Diagnostic Consultants (VDCs) in assigned geography to agree on and prioritize opportunities to generate revenue.
  • Building strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Partnering with the broader commercial ecosystem to ensure successful implementation and conversion of different growth initiatives.
  • Leading IDEXX Rapid Assay, Chemistry, and Fecal product sales conversations within assigned territory.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining leads for the IDEXX field sales ecosystem for the assigned territory.
  • Collaborating with Companion Animal Group (CAG) Commercial field team to ensure adoption, utilization, and conversion of IDEXX products and services.
  • Delivering relevant customer training and education to achieve sales goals.
  • Consistently achieving quarterly & annual quotas.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience selling products and/or services to customers almost exclusively via telephone and internet (e.g., chat, email, video conferencing, etc.)
  • Candidates in MST or PST are preferred.
  • Diagnostic or life sciences sales preferred.
  • Experience developing new accounts and/or generating new business from existing accounts.
  • Executes core activities with some assistance / guidance from manager.
  • Experience pursuing sales leads within assigned territory, defined by geographic area, industry, or product/service segment in alignment with field ecosystem.
  • Experience executing sales strategy, identifying new opportunities/leads, and leveraging sales tools to deliver sales outcomes.
