About the role
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive event strategy
- Oversee the planning and execution of conferences, sponsorships, webinars, and hosted events
- Partner with internal teams to coordinate speakers, content, and materials
- Supervise and mentor direct reports responsible for event logistics, partner coordination, and administrative support
- Manage relationships with key national and state associations
- Develop and maintain processes for tracking event performance, partnership ROI, and engagement outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- MBA is preferred but not required
- 7+ years of experience in event management, association partnerships, marketing, or related fields (healthcare or B2B experience preferred)
- Demonstrated success managing conferences, sponsorships, and partner relationships at a corporate or organizational level
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across functional areas
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff
- Strong project management skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management platforms (Asana, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Experience with event technology platforms (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, virtual event tools) preferred
- Familiarity with CRM or marketing automation systems preferred
- Background in health policy, Medicaid, or healthcare associations preferred
