About the role
- Support the operational efficiency of ICMP’s Syria/MENA Program by building a strategic talent pipeline
- Advise NCMP on staffing strategy, aligning recruitment practices with international standards
- Lead the full recruitment lifecycle for the Syria Program including scheduling interviews and providing feedback to candidates
- Act as a strategic partner to hiring managers and conduct intensive intake meetings to define technical requirements
- Identify and engage niche technical profiles within local and the MENA region
- Conduct talent gap analyses and develop long-term staffing plans
- Develop and maintain monthly talent acquisition reports tracking critical metrics
- Audit current workflows and implement a streamlined process prioritizing speed, efficiency, and candidate experience
- Work closely with the HR team to ensure Syria's staffing aligns with international standards
Requirements
- A secondary degree in Talent Acquisition/Management, Human Resources, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant professional experience in talent acquisition, including executive search and headhunting
- Previous experience working within international organizations and field-based teams
- Deep understanding of the MENA labor market and the NGO/International Organization landscape
- Advanced knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic
- A commercial mindset and the ability to drive recruitment as a strategic, business-critical function
- A high level of cultural diplomacy
- Ability to maintain effectiveness and resilience in high-risk, or hostile environments, both mentally and physically
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and Power Point
- Proven ability to interact positively with colleagues regardless of culture, nationality or gender
- Ability to travel at short notice and to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Commitment to the underlying objective of helping the authorities and families of the missing to account for missing persons in an impartial and transparent manner
- Willingness and ability to work and live in hardship conditions with limited infrastructure and personal privacy
- The candidate must be a Syrian national and able to work and live in Syria.
