About the role
- Support enterprise big data and analytics platforms that ingest data in real-time at extreme volumes and high velocity
- Provide inputs into data architecture design and analyze data outputs to validate data quality and communicate gaps to the development team
- Validate SIT and CAT results to ensure product meets acceptance criteria
- Support production data validation and investigations
- Triage and investigate user inquiries and query/analyze data to identify business insights
- Work with the Air Program Manager to create data visualizations, PowerPoint decks, ad hoc data pulls, and other outputs to communicate insights to client management/leadership
- Some onsite work in Quantico, VA as required by the contract
Requirements
- 3 years of experience as a data analyst
- 1 year of SQL experience
- US Citizenship required by federal contract
- Active DOD clearance
- Experience with Data Visualization and Qlik (preferred)
- Experienced with querying and exploring data within a NoSQL data platform (e.g., Hadoop/Hive) (preferred)
- Postal or airline/air cargo industry experience (preferred)
- Strong geographical knowledge of US States and Territories; understanding of how ZIP codes relate to geography and how cities/locations are connected via land, water, and air (preferred)
- Ability to work onsite in Quantico, VA (role requires some onsite work)
