About the role

  • Coordinate projects from proposal stage through to final delivery
  • Manage a portfolio of 10–20 small to mid sized monitoring, evaluation, and research projects
  • Oversee contracting processes, schedules, risk logs, quality assurance, and budget tracking
  • Ensure contractual, financial, and reporting obligations are met
  • Work closely with delivery partners to ensure clear expectations and coordinated delivery
  • Build effective relationships with government clients
  • Bring together internal experts and subcontractors across various fields

Requirements

  • Strong track record in project coordination or project management in a consulting or project based environment
  • Experience managing budgets, suppliers, contracts, and multi partner delivery
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive client relationships
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Interest or experience in environmental policy, natural or social sciences, agriculture, trade, or related areas
  • Experience delivering or managing projects for UK government clients (e.g., Defra, Natural England, Environment Agency, DBT)
  • Background in environmental, marine, agricultural, climate, or social sciences, or economics
  • Experience coordinating research suppliers or managing complex multi partner delivery
