About the role

  • Accurate and timely preparation of payroll and time related transactions within strict time-sensitive deadlines;
  • Investigates discrepancies and takes corrective action related to payments, refunds, or adjustments;
  • Reconciliation of payroll accounts and financial reporting of statutory and non-statutory deductions and remittances;
  • Resolves enquiries related to payroll and time issues.

Requirements

  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation from the National Payroll Institute or working towards the designation
  • 2 years’ experience in a large, full cycle payroll within a unionized environment
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered
  • Knowledge of payroll practices, statutory requirements and accounting practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with high attention to detail
  • SAP/Success Factors payroll or other payroll software is an asset
