About the role
- Accurate and timely preparation of payroll and time related transactions within strict time-sensitive deadlines;
- Investigates discrepancies and takes corrective action related to payments, refunds, or adjustments;
- Reconciliation of payroll accounts and financial reporting of statutory and non-statutory deductions and remittances;
- Resolves enquiries related to payroll and time issues.
Requirements
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation from the National Payroll Institute or working towards the designation
- 2 years’ experience in a large, full cycle payroll within a unionized environment
- Equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered
- Knowledge of payroll practices, statutory requirements and accounting practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with high attention to detail
- SAP/Success Factors payroll or other payroll software is an asset
