About the role
- Advise your Executive/Business Sponsor on delivery approach & strategic project direction
- Ensure alignment across work streams, develops & leads a cohesive project team (ICBC employees, contractors, external vendors)
- Provides day to day management of project activities
- Develops & recommend adjustments to project plan, resources, budget and execution to deliver business outcome
- Planning and managing the multiple work streams within an overall project(s)
- Proactive identification and management of project risks, and timely resolution of project issues and problems
- Coordinating project communications and managing the expectations of internal and/or external stakeholders
- Developing or overseeing the development of project documentation
- Working within and supporting the project governance, standards and practices of ICBC’s Project Management Office
Requirements
- 10+ years of project management experience
- Expert knowledge of project delivery
- Successfully delivered organization transformation projects/program and implementation of complex IT projects
- Managed projects with budgets exceeding $5M
- Familiarity with managing offshore or remote teams
- Excellent interpersonal, business partnership, team building and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of technology with the ability to express complex technical concepts effectively to all levels of the organization
- Experience in negotiation and facilitation
- Knowledge of financial and project accounting processes and principles
- Experience with pre-project planning and post-project benefit realization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of project management best practices, methodology, tools and techniques
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall application delivery methods
- Undergraduate degree in a related field
