Act as the primary on‑site representative
Take ownership of site activities
Provide technical support and guidance throughout the overhead line elements of the construction phase for key transmission projects
Monitor and manage contractor’s programmes in a proactive way in line with the overall project programme
Ensure compliance with all site environmental legislation and monitor all agreed mitigation

Requirements

Significant experience managing transmission construction projects
Proven experience delivering the Principal Contractor role and overseeing multiple contractors
Strong technical knowledge of overhead line specifications, design, maintenance, construction and commissioning, including activities such as access development, foundation installation, assembly and erection (wood pole and/or towers), wiring, re‑insulation, re‑spacing, re‑conductoring, tower painting and reinstatement works
Proficiency with IT systems and software packages, including Microsoft Office
Comprehensive understanding of current Health & Safety legislation, CDM 2015 regulations and associated duty‑holder roles, particularly in the delivery of the Principal Contractor role
First Aid certification.
