Manage the activities of the Gas System Planning Group and lead a team of Engineers to update and maintain gate/regulator station documentation and 10-year capital plan
Analyze the gas transmission and distribution systems for optimal performance
Provide long and short term system planning based on the System Planning Manual, gas supply, projected customer needs and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe and reliable system
Responsible for prioritization of gate/regulator stations, recommendation and selection of equipment, and concept plans.
Responsible to ensure the goals and objectives of the department are met
Integrate best practices across the companies in accordance with Avangrid standard practices
Ensure project resources have the correct toolsets and processes in place and that all relevant staff is trained and equipped to successfully deliver their work

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering required
Minimum 7-10 years relevant gas distribution design experience.
PE license desirable.
PMP desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge of gas transmission and distribution design
Demonstrated experience in managing large teams
Demonstrated understanding of utility operations and regulatory requirements
Demonstrated experience in the execution of strategic objectives
Proven track record of achieving result in high pressure and high-profile assignments
General contract, commercial and regulatory awareness with the ability to balance effective and efficient customer service and project delivery, ensuring maximum return on investment
Track record of effective stakeholder and customer service engagement and management
Knowledge of Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
