About the role
- Edit high volume, quick turnaround social first content optimized for performance across platforms
- Edit long-form video content, including documentary-style storytelling and campaign narratives
- Edit marketing and promotional video assets aligned with brand and campaign objectives, such as promos, sizzles, studio content, explainer videos, and original in-app content
- Execute final exports and versions across multiple formats, ensuring accuracy and platform specifications
- Manage multiple editing timelines simultaneously while maintaining speed, quality, and consistency
- Edit video on demand content for Global Citizen events, including GC Now, Global Citizen Festival, Move Africa, and Amazonia, among others
- Edit event recaps, speaker content, and stakeholder deliverables with quick turnaround timelines
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of event-related content
- Maintain consistency in style, pacing, and quality across all event-based outputs
- Execute sound design, including sound effects, audio cleanup, basic mixing, and enhancement
- Apply basic motion graphics and text treatments to support storytelling and clarity aligned with brand guidelines
- Perform basic color correction and finishing to ensure polished and professional outputs
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and iterate efficiently on edits
- Maintain alignment with brand standards and creative direction
- Organize, catalog, and manage video footage across projects and campaigns
- Maintain structured project files to support accessibility and collaboration across teams
- Support internal databasing and archival of video assets
- Ensure proper media management, including backups and file versioning
- Contribute to efficient post-production workflows and process improvements
Requirements
- 2–5 years of professional experience as a video editor
- Strong experience editing social-first content is required
- Experience editing event and live video content is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience editing promos and documentary-style content
- Familiarity with sound design and basic motion graphics
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of After Effects and related tools
- Solid understanding of editing workflows, including ingest, organization, timeline management, and delivery
- Strong attention to detail in pacing, storytelling, and technical execution
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of video formats, codecs, and platform-specific delivery requirements
- Strong organizational and file management skills
- Ability to take direction, receive feedback, and iterate quickly
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
