Safety and Compliance Administrative Assistant

Project Manager

• Overseeing electric utility construction projects from start to finish.
• Focusing on planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
• Ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
• Reviewing RFP, proposal, estimate, schedule, and all contract documents; arranging meetings; ensuring project crew has required vehicles, equipment, and tooling on-site.
• Servicing the client; managing customer interaction; scheduling final project walk down with customers.
• Conducting pre-construction meetings and attending ongoing project progress meetings; visiting the project site weekly for compliance and safety audits.

Project Manager – Utility Services

• Assist and coordinate with all projects set up, project needs, and Field labor needs to ensure timely and profitable completion of quality projects;
• Submit and track Change Orders;
• Visit project sites to review problems, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with safety.
• Review and enter weekly Field Timesheets into payroll system.
• Oversee and administer project specific document control; Review and document project progress with Field Foreman; and assist with final closeout documentation.

• Meet with clients to determine their needs and become the solution to their issue.
• Develop a buildable code compliant design with assistance from in house engineering when necessary.
• Perform material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor take off.
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes and evaluate for completeness and best price for use in bid.
• Identify areas of importance (milestones, shutdowns, etc.)
• Complete an accurate cost estimate to generate a detailed proposal while adhering to our project delivery process.
• Perform a project turnover meeting with field foreman to ensure project is built as estimated and designed.
• Purchase materials, packages, and subcontracts in accordance with the purchasing policy.
• Attend construction meetings as necessary with client.
• Service the client in a timely and respectful manner; meeting or exceeding their expectations.
• Work with owners, engineers and/or subcontractors to promptly resolve project problems.
• Responsible for the financial performance of each project.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, foremen and accounting in a timely manner for successful completion of projects.
• Assist Accounting with billing and collection needs.

Account Manager – Electrical Services

Operations

• Provide Leadership & Expertise - Exemplify, communicate, and conduct business in accordance with corporate values, policies, and procedures; recommend additions/revisions to existing procedures and work methods when warranted; and review projects regularly to address problems, monitor progress, ensure compliance of specifications, and safety/quality of work performed.
• Keep Score - Monitor key safety indicators and quality of work being performed, ensuring that work performed by the division meets or exceeds contract specifications and IB Abel standards of quality; and monitor project performance to ensure that annual budget including capital expenditures are consistent with business plan.
• Manage Resources - Monitor and manage utilization of equipment allocated to the regions; coordinate the allocation of manpower between regions; coach and provide expertise to projects and regions to assist in achieving company goals; and work with estimators, project managers, engineers and subcontractors to resolve project problems or opportunities for improvement.
• Business Development Opportunities - Maintain relationships with existing clients and look for opportunities to expand or enhance services; develop new business opportunities and clients; and oversee and participate in the proposal and bidding process. Review proposals and bids for completeness and compliance with RFP and contractual requirements.
• Financial Management – Review proposals and bids for completeness and compliance with RFP and contractual requirements; submit weekly reports detailing projected revenues, costs and gross profit at project completion; meet with Accounting monthly to review financial performance; and document field directives that change or alter the original scope of work.

Director of Operations – Electric Utility

• Support the Substation Services project team with organization and administrative duties
• Assist with the material procurement process, ensuring POs, phase codes, and job numbers are utilized
• Draft, submit, and distribute project-specific or customer reports, submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), and subcontracts after review and approval by the project manager
• Assist project team with applicable permits(customer, city, utility)
• Interface with and organize project-specific document control systems (Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint)

Substation Administrative Coordinator – Electric Utility

Controller

• Manage and oversee daily operations of the Payroll and Accounts Payable areas of the accounting department
• Supervise direct reports and assign projects and direct personnel to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll items and manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll procedures
• Complete bank account reconciliations and establish/enforce proper accounting methods
• Improve systems and procedures and ensure department adherence to company standards and regulatory compliance.
