About the role
- Assist Total Vehicle Evaluation (TVE) members on vehicle development activities
- Learn from TVE Comprehensive Engineers and other HATCI members on overall vehicle development activities
- Evaluate the total performance (e.g., powertrain, ride and handling, NVH, brakes, ADAS, human factors, etc.) of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis prototype, pilot, and production vehicles
- Perform subjective vehicle evaluations, identify potential customer complaint issues, investigate root causes, and recommend potential countermeasures
- Develop and execute joint evaluation test plans for vehicle development activities, such as benchmarking and prototype evaluations
- Summarize media reviews and customer feedback concerning Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles
- Support additional development activities at HATCI's automotive proving ground in California City, CA
- Create and present clear and concise technical reports
- Execute additional special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Mechanical engineering student with at least 2 years of automotive/dynamics-related coursework
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Preferably, junior or senior standing
- Automotive background or experience desired
