About the role
- Serve as a liaison between ER and other departments, facilitating communication and collaboration on matters related to benefits, safety, health, and security.
- Provide effective and timely communications for employees to ensure understanding and alignment to company goals and initiatives.
- Monitor employee sentiments to identify issues/trends, propose proactive solutions aligned with business needs, and advise management in issue identification.
- Assist management with the application and interpretation of policies and procedures.
- Support employee onboarding and orientation.
- Identify opportunities and recommendations to drive positive changes for HMGMA.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Advocate for employees and for the company.
- Build strong relationships with employees and promote employee engagement.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in Employee Relations, Law, or HR
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office products or equivalent applications
- Deep understanding of the external automobile market and current trends
- Extensive knowledge and experience in analyzing data and developing proposals
- HR Management, Organizational Psychology, or Labor Relations major preferred
- Work experience in automotive industry
- Knowledge on federal and state employment laws and regulations
