About the role

  • Oversee and manage the overall operations of the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
  • Manage EPC contractors, operations vendors, and maintenance partners related to wastewater treatment processes.
  • Plan and adjust WWTP operation schedules, treatment capacity, and equipment specifications to comply with HMGMA standards.
  • Execute technical and economic management activities to meet WWTP design, construction, and operational requirements.
  • Respond immediately to operational issues and implement corrective actions to ensure continuous and compliant plant operation.
  • Lead maintenance activities, including equipment replacement, repairs, and process modifications, as necessary.
  • Prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives and oversee development and achievement of them across the organization.
  • Drive collaboration across the organization to identify needs and develop scalable solutions.
  • Analyze technical and operational data to support investment decisions and facility improvements.
  • Monitor and supervise defined WWTP operations and service activities.
  • Oversee and manage external vendors and contractors involved in WWTP projects.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with water quality monitoring, chemical dosing adjustments, and daily WWTP operations/compliance.
  • Understanding of wastewater processes, regulations, sampling, and basic analyses.
  • Knowledge of DMR, EPD, and related environmental reporting requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental industry regulations.
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, chemical, or water-related fields.
