About the role
- Partner with senior and executive stakeholders to define KPIs, performance metrics, and analytical requirements
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of BI solutions
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise semantic models (Power BI datasets)
- Develop and own certified and promoted datasets
- Apply advanced dimensional modeling principles
- Design and deliver executive dashboards, scorecards, and recurring management reports in Power BI
- Query and model data from Microsoft Fabric using advanced SQL and DAX
- Establish and enforce Power BI and Fabric standards
- Champion adoption of CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and Git-based version control
- Lead data quality, reconciliation, and integrity validation
- Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, and governance teams
- Administer Power BI and Fabric workspaces
- Enable governed self-service analytics through well-designed semantic models
- Mentor and coach BI analysts on semantic modeling, DAX, and enterprise BI best practices
- Provide training and guidance to business users on metric interpretation and effective use of Power BI
- Develop documentation, templates, and reusable modeling patterns
- Evaluate and adopt new Power BI and Fabric capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience as a Data Analyst
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing technologies and Microsoft Fabric
- Strong knowledge of Power BI
- Experience with dimensional modelling
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, time management, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong collaborative skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong ability to summarize large quantities of information into actionable insight
- Self-motivated with the ability to complete projects in a timely manner
- Strong ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Strong ability to influence, motivate and mobilize team members and business partners
