About the role

  • influence decision-making processes that significantly impact growth and underwriting margin
  • Work closely with Divisional, Corporate, and IPA counterparts to establish appropriate growth and underwriting margin budgets
  • Assist in the development of strategies to aid negotiations with providers, ensuring financially favorable terms and conditions
  • Advise senior leaders on network strategy, fostering relationships and optimizing network performance
  • Provide expert guidance on provider contracting decisions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leaders on decisions impacting financial performance, ensuring that all strategic initiatives are financially sound
  • Prioritize and execute tasks arising from Divisional and Corporate requests while delegating departmental and regional priorities to Leads and their teams
  • Provide expertise in Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (DSNP) financial strategies across all states, ensuring compliance and optimal performance

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, actuary, finance or any field
  • 8 or more years of accounting, actuary or finance experience
  • Management experience
  • Experience leading departmental activities to ensure accurate and timely accounting, financial and statistical reports
  • Knowledge of complex accounting and financial transactions for internal and external reporting
  • Prior experience developing methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing data for complex analyses
  • Ability to lead and manage special projects that may necessitate cross-functional partnerships
