About the role
- Identify, design, and conduct high-impact research on customer experiences that drive growth across every touchpoint in a customer’s lifecycle.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns in customer behavior, particularly around activation, free-to-paid conversion, time-to-value, and early lifecycle retention.
- Partner directly with the Product Leadership Team as a trusted strategic advisor and voice of customer expert for key Growth workstreams.
- Guide and influence stakeholders across the organization by effectively communicating research insights and recommendations through written reports, presentations, data visualizations, and conversations.
- Mentor and advise fellow UX researchers through regular feedback sessions, work reviews, and collaborative projects.
- Collaborate with other researchers across HubSpot to raise the bar for research and align on best practices.
Requirements
- Extensive experience: 7+ years of experience in UX research.
- Deep mixed methods expertise: Expert knowledge of mixed research methods including survey science, questionnaire design, sampling techniques, and statistical analysis.
- Strong analytical skills: Ability to analyze large datasets, identify key insights, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent communication skills: A skilled communicator with the ability to translate complex research and data into compelling, clear, and concise narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.
- Executive presence: Track record of earning credibility with senior leadership through consistent delivery of actionable insights and serving as a trusted thought partner.
- Business acumen: Ability to understand and orient your work to align with and advance company-wide priorities.
- Strategic autonomy: Highly autonomous and proactive, with exceptional judgment in prioritizing research questions and demonstrated ability to operate independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
