About the role
- Technical Lead II to join us in the Ominchannel product group at HubSpot. This product group\'s mission is focused on building omnichannel communication platforms to support both sales and service use cases. These include voice calling, email, SMS, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and other messaging services. Our goal is to integrate both first-party and third-party channels into the HubSpot ecosystem to empower customers with flexible, unified communication tools.As part of this mission, the team takes an AI-first approach, continuously exploring how AI can elevate the communication experience — making it faster, more intuitive, and more productive for HubSpot’s customers.
- We’re passionate about solving complex business problems, optimizing the workflows and tooling for our developers.
- We’re looking for experienced engineering leaders who are excited by solving complex, detail-oriented business problems and who are passionate about improving tooling to ease work done by engineers at a company scale.
- Teams in HubSpot are kept small and nimble to maximize ownership and to eliminate scale challenges and communication overhead (e.g. very few meetings that could have been a Slack message!).

- Experience with building reliable systems that can scale 10x
- Experience building configurable, extensible systems that can grow with the changing needs of the business.
- Experience with business process communication tools and/or customized CRM implementations is a nice bonus
