About the role
- Lead the design vision for the full ecosystem experience across discovery, installation, configuration, usage, and support.
- Prototype early and often—to explore, align, and de-risk ideas before they’re built.
- Weave cohesive experiences across product surfaces, partnering closely with Developer Platform, App Marketplace, CRM Core, and AI Product teams.
- Apply deep systems thinking, ensuring extensibility, scalability, and usability across developer and end-user touchpoints.
- Drive product strategy through journey mapping, service blueprints, and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Mentor designers across the org to elevate craft, prototyping maturity, and systems literacy.
- Measure design impact through metrics tied to activation, adoption, and CSAT.
- Advocate for users and builders, ensuring HubSpot’s ecosystem delivers value for customers and partners alike.
Requirements
- Experience designing complex SaaS or platform ecosystems
- Led end-to-end experiences that cross multiple surfaces or product areas
- Expert in interactive prototyping (Figma, Lovable, or code-based tools)
- Systems thinker who simplifies complex architectures
- Thrive in ambiguous, cross-functional environments
- Developer-facing design experience or deep curiosity about APIs, SDKs, and extensibility platforms
- Strong product sense, understanding design decisions' influence on ecosystem health
- Excited by AI and automation, curious about AI agents reshaping experiences
- Care deeply about craft from frameworks to polished interactions.
