About the role
- Collaborate with business unit, product, and sales teams as a strategic partner
- Develop and implement comprehensive market strategies that align with business strategies, product roadmaps, and market trends & drivers
- Lead definition of strategic intelligence needs to drive informed decisions related to the electric substation & transmission market
- Collaborate with revenue operations, business, technology, and sales leaders to identify industry data sources and interpret analysis into business action
- Drive unified market positioning and commercialization of a cohesive market offering for Hubbell in the electric substation & transmission market in partnership with business, enterprise marketing, and sales leaders
- Champion market positioning execution, internally & externally, including: strategic pitches to customers, speaking at industry events, leading workstreams & projects across multiple business units and functions, and providing executive updates on market trends and corresponding strategies
- Collaborate with enterprise marketing on planning and prioritization of full spectrum marketing functions providing domain expertise for the electric substation & transmission market
- Establish key priorities that are clearly aligned with internal stakeholders across the enterprise
- Guide and coordinate participation in industry coalitions, committees, and standards bodies relevant to electric substation & transmission
- Ensure Hubbell is well represented and positioned at important industry events
- Coordinate with business, technology, sales, and enterprise marketing stakeholders to generate and publish thought leadership content supporting market positioning and commercial playbooks
- Develop metrics and dashboards to measure success and improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor of Business, Engineering or Science with Finance/Management/Marketing/Technical focus
- MBA preferred
- 10 years of direct / indirect leadership experience in the areas of B2B market strategy, market intelligence, product marketing, and/or product management
- 5 years of experience in the electric utility market with a demonstrated understanding of electric substation and transmission applications and products
- Proven experience in influencing a business or market strategy through the application and/or management of competitive information, market awareness, and product positioning
