About the role

  • Assisting with the scheduling of lab assignments and equipment maintenance to achieve efficient utilization of the Test Lab facilities.
  • Supporting certification agency representatives in the inspection and testing of wiring devices and their associated products.
  • Assisting with the design and devising of test procedures for new products, including the designing of any related test apparatus.
  • Reviewing and substantiating data, measurements and calculations to the satisfaction of both internal and outside agency representatives.
  • Setting up using standard procedures with Lab Techs to conduct testing of wiring devices and enclosures etc.
  • Training new Lab Technicians.
  • Setting up and operating all components in the high-power electrical test circuits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (required)
  • 3-6 years of experience in test and measurement environment (required)
  • Ability to read complex blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot and repair Test Lab equipment.
  • Working knowledge of applicable requirements of regulatory bodies such as U.L., CSA and the National Electrical Code.
  • Experience with test and measurement equipment and methodologies for electrical systems
