About the role
- Define and champion the PLM strategy and roadmap, aligning with the company’s overall business objectives and technological advancements.
- Own the PLM platform, including the evaluation, selection, implementation, and maintenance of PLM tools and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain to integrate PLM solutions that enhance product development processes.
- Lead the PLM team, setting clear goals and expectations, and fostering an environment of accountability and excellence.
- Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PLM process, leveraging feedback and performance metrics to enhance system functionality and user experience.
- Manage the PLM project portfolio, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and resource availability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to product development and lifecycle management.
- Develop and manage the PLM budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize ROI.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in PLM and related fields, and assess their potential impact on the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product lifecycle management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successful PLM tool implementation and management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive team performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the product development process and integration points with PLM systems.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in managing budgets and resources in a corporate setting.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations pertinent to product development and lifecycle management.
