About the role
- Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans based on quality standards, industry regulations, and organizational goals.
- Conduct audits of manufacturing processes, product quality, service delivery, and documentation to identify deviations and non-compliance issues.
- Collect data through inspections, interviews, document reviews, and sampling techniques.
- Analyze audit findings to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed audit reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Communicate audit results to relevant stakeholders including management, team leaders, and operational teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality notifications (QN) and corrective action reports (CAR) to address identified quality issues.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure follow-up to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement strategies, including process optimization and standard operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis and trend identification.
- Facilitate training sessions for employees on quality standards and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, quality standards, and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Conduct audits to verify adherence to regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
- Proactively identify potential compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Perform other departmental duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of quality issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and relevant industry standards
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Three years related manufacturing- and quality-related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience an asset.
- Proven experience in quality auditing within a manufacturing or service environment.
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar certification is a plus but not required.
- Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of software, including MS Word and MS Excel.
