About the role

  • Responsible for day to day internal and external customer support providing compliance research, writing, and guidance to address client needs
  • Serve as the compliance “rapid response” providing timely, accurate, and well written answers to customer emails and participating in conference calls
  • Participate in remote client meetings and conference calls alongside account services team members and/or producer to relay compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with the South Compliance team to create, coordinate, review, monitor and evaluate educational material or training sessions
  • Work with South Compliance to develop regional initiatives, materials, and programs
  • Provide guidance and assistance to service teams on compliance topics and escalate questions to the Compliance Manager and/or CCO as needed
  • Handle day-to-day client compliance support including responding to compliance related emails
  • Request and maintain Airtable intake form entries on a daily basis
  • Manage day-to-day projects individually and at the team level through project planner and meet deadlines
  • Follow all other South Compliance processes and established SOPs
  • Must provide services during ordinary business hours for either the Central and/or the Eastern time zone

Requirements

  • 5+ years in an employee benefits industry compliance capacity (carrier, vendor or employer)
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Location – Must live somewhere in the south region near any one of our EB offices with ability to be in office and attend certain local meetings and events
  • Must provide services during ordinary business hours for either the Central and/or the Eastern time zone
  • Negligible travel required
  • Must follow South Compliance processes and established SOPs
  • Must not offer legal/tax advice or opinions; must operate within consultant boundaries
  • Role limitations: may not design/develop/review plan documents, complete/amend federal filings, review/advise on contract language (beyond compliance checks), draft governmental correspondence, or represent clients before governmental bodies
  • All client-facing documents and content must be HUB approved
