About the role

  • Provide support obtaining, maintaining, expanding, and servicing commercial lines accounts
  • Assist with certificates of insurance, policy changes, gathering renewal information, and preparing client presentations
  • Respond to policy inquiries via phone and email and field insured calls about coverage, changes, payments, cancellations
  • Perform daily service work including certificates, policy changes, client payments
  • Participate in renewal preparation and generate renewal updates
  • Assist with marketing clients to carriers and coordinating premium financing and premium collection
  • Check policies/endorsements and audits for accuracy; prepare quotes and proposals
  • Maintain accurate and organized account files, document conversations, and update HUB systems
  • Meet daily production standards, goals and service commitments; perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must hold current Property & Causality License
  • High School / GED (posting also lists Associate degree as required)
  • 1-2 years insurance industry experience or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate orally and in writing with internal and external customers
  • Ability to efficiently gather pertinent information and facts, analyze and solve problems timely and thoroughly
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and responsibilities to complete assignments on time and with optimal accuracy
  • Ability to respond to customer needs, solicit customer feedback, and handle difficult or emotional customer situations promptly and accurately
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
  • Critical thinking and desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry
