About the role
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of OEM and aftermarket parts.
- Promote and sell parts solutions to existing and prospective customers.
- Provide accurate quotes, process orders, and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
- Track inventory and coordinate with the parts department for restocking needs.
- Generate leads and sell maintenance contracts, repairs, and inspection services.
- Educate customers on planned maintenance programs and benefits of proper equipment upkeep.
- Work closely with the service department to coordinate scheduling and ensure service delivery aligns with customer expectations.
- Follow up on service satisfaction and identify future service needs.
- Sell short- and long-term rental solutions for material handling equipment.
- Understand rental fleet availability and match customers with the right equipment based on operational needs.
- Assist in rental agreements, pricing, and delivery coordination.
- Support fleet utilization goals and work to minimize equipment downtime.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the material handling or industrial equipment sector.
- Strong knowledge of forklifts, industrial equipment, or related mechanical systems preferred.
- Proven ability to generate leads, manage a pipeline, and close deals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (local travel required).
