About the role
- This role is responsible for developing new software solutions and services using cloud software development techniques.
- Works with the software engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the organization.
- Plans, designs, and develops cloud-based applications.
- Manages cloud environments in accordance with the organization's security guidelines.
- Deploys and debugs cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Partners with DevOps to develop tooling and infrastructure for cloud development and cloud operations use cases, with a focus on microservices deployment and distributed systems monitoring and fault analysis.
- Executes job using Test Driven Development (TDD) approach, and supports continuous integration and continuous deployment patterns.
- Develops processes for enforcing cloud governance, architecture, operating procedures, monitoring, and system standards.
- Responds to incidents, owns them and drives to completion, participates in root cause analysis.
- Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently.
- Leads moderate to high complexity projects, delivering professionally written reports, and supports the realization of operational and strategic plans.
Requirements
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in distributed & cloud computing, software & cloud design, programming languages, agile development methodologies, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
- Preferred Certifications: AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, CSA certified
