About the role
- Create, develop and maintain reinsurance contract documentation for complex client accounts.
- Draft reinsurance contracts, interests and liabilities agreements, and related documents.
- Interpret and assess contracts and ensure contract wording reflects intent of negotiations.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues, brokers, clients, and reinsurers.
- Participate in Request for Proposal and sales presentations.
- Promote and build relationships with brokers, clients, and reinsurers.
- Monitor industry developments and share opinions in department meetings.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Four Year College Degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent experience.
- Law Degree (J.D.) helpful but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with reinsurance contracts required.
- Extensive MS Word experience and expertise.
- Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Legally authorized to work in the US.
