About the role

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for new initiatives and enhancements
  • Lead process improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and recommending scalable, measurable solutions
  • Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, and functional specifications
  • Partner with Agile teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered effectively
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives as needed
  • Support testing efforts by defining acceptance criteria and participating in UAT
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders and leadership
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for business analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
  • Proven experience in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry or with a Managing General Agent (MGA)—particularly in property & casualty, health, or specialty lines—is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in tools such as DevOps and process modeling software
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
  • Agile certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
  • Excellent written, verbal and client-facing communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
