About the role
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for new initiatives and enhancements
- Lead process improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and recommending scalable, measurable solutions
- Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, and functional specifications
- Partner with Agile teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered effectively
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives as needed
- Support testing efforts by defining acceptance criteria and participating in UAT
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders and leadership
- Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for business analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
- Proven experience in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
- Prior experience in the insurance industry or with a Managing General Agent (MGA)—particularly in property & casualty, health, or specialty lines—is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in tools such as DevOps and process modeling software
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
- Agile certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
- Excellent written, verbal and client-facing communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
