About the role
- Prepare, update, and manage engagement letters, including tracking execution and maintaining status records.
- Coordinate client information requests by managing calendars, monitoring due dates, and following up when information is outstanding.
- Maintain engagement checklists to ensure all agreed-upon services are delivered accurately and on time.
- Roll forward prior-year tax returns and organize required documentation for current-year filings.
- Ensure all necessary information is received before tax preparation begins.
- Maintain tax basis fixed asset schedules and support depreciation tracking.
- Update tax basis balance sheets and supporting schedules used in tax compliance.
Requirements
- Education or experience in accounting, finance, or tax.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to follow-ups.
- Comfortable communicating with clients and internal team members.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with tax software or engagement management tools is a plus.
