About the role
- Focus on outbound business development activities that generate qualified sales conversations.
- Researching target companies, industries, and key decision-makers
- Building and managing prospect lists
- Executing outbound outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, networking, events, and other channels
- Writing personalized outreach that reflects the prospect’s business needs and likely pain points
- Starting conversations with qualified buyers and moving them toward a scheduled meeting
- Tracking activity, pipeline progress, and notes in HubSpot
- Partnering with internal leadership on messaging, priorities, and target account strategy
- Reporting weekly on outreach activity, meeting volume, pipeline movement, and observations from the market
Requirements
- Experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, or outbound prospecting
- Confidence reaching out to new prospects and starting conversations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good judgment around messaging, tone, and follow-up
- The ability to stay consistent and disciplined with outreach activity
- Experience using a CRM such as HubSpot or a similar platform
- A professional, self-directed work style in a remote environment
- Helpful but not required: Experience selling or supporting services in cybersecurity, GRC, compliance, consulting, or B2B professional services
- Helpful but not required: Experience working with mid-market or enterprise buyers
- Helpful but not required: Experience turning meetings into pipeline or closed business
