About the role

  • Validate and review contract sales orders and invoices to ensure proper revenue recognition and deferred revenue for all subscription and service revenue streams.
  • Understand the quote-to-cash processes including systems logics and the downstream impacts.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly close tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations and various flux analysis across all revenue and accounts receivable-related accounts
  • Assist with company collections processes and work cross-functionally to resolve disputes and credit adjustments.
  • Understand and analyze the accounting impact of complex revenue contracts and ensure that revenue is recorded in compliance with Company’s revenue recognition policy and ASC 606.
  • Partner and work cross functionally with other business groups (Sales Operations, Customer Success, FP&A, Treasury, Business Technologies teams) to assist with key initiatives and improvements.
  • Assist with year-end external financial audits.
  • Support compliance with internal requirements and revenue accounting processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvements.
  • Support revenue team on ad-hoc analysis, projects and system implementations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting in a SaaS/subscription environment (or similar recurring revenue model).
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 with experience applying guidance to non-standard/complex contracts.
  • Experience owning close deliverables: reconciliations, journal entries, tie-outs, and flux/variance analysis.
  • High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, large data sets); comfort working with systems and data.
  • Strong communication skills—able to explain accounting conclusions to non-accounting stakeholders and document positions clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with strong judgment, ownership mentality, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPA (active or in progress) preferred.
  • Experience with common quote-to-cash tools (CRM/CPQ, billing platforms, revenue automation/subledger) and ERPs preferred.
  • Experience supporting audits and operating within a controlled environment preferred.
  • Report on weekly/monthly/quarterly sales results.
