Product Manager

• Define and own the product roadmap for Planful’s dynamic planning capabilities and set engineering priorities accordingly.
• Write and share clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria with development, QA, and UX teams.
• Design and champion intuitive new planning functionality in close partnership with engineering and UX teams, ensuring an exceptional user experience for finance and operations users.
• Evangelize product vision, planning strategy, and AI capabilities to customers, partners, prospects, and internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
• Integrate AI capabilities into the planning product—including predictive analytics, intelligent scenario modeling, anomaly detection, and natural language interfaces—to deliver an AI-forward user experience.
• Leverage AI tools and techniques personally to accelerate research, synthesis, prototyping, and requirements development workflows.
• Analyze the competitive landscape for planning and FP&A solutions and define differentiated requirements that advance Planful’s market position.
• Evaluate product performance and feature utility with internal stakeholders (support, services, sales) and external stakeholders (customers, partners, analysts).
• Lead research and discovery in areas of innovation, including AI-driven planning automation, rolling forecasts, scenario planning, and workforce/operational planning.
• Define and refine the data model and calculation layer requirements to support flexible, multi-dimensional planning across finance and operations.
• Partner with the broader product team to ensure coherent integration between planning, reporting, consolidation, and analytics capabilities within the Planful platform.

• Manage and work with a diverse portfolio of Planful’s clients and establish value-driven, outcomes focused partnerships.
• Collaborate and manage across multiple functions including support, sales, product, engineering, and senior leadership to drive client success.
• Define and execute best in class, scaleable, and repeatable processes to ensure client satisfaction
• Provide proactive, consultative guidance to clients regarding highest and best use of Planful.
• Utilize your knowledge in common Financial Planning, Reporting, Consolidation and Forecasting processes to “connect the dots” of client challenges with Planful capabilities.
• Leverage thought leadership and consultative skills with your clients to help maximize and expand the use of their Planful solution
• Develop deep understanding of client business objectives, use cases, technical ecosystem and business requirements.
• Act as the “Voice of the Customer” to communicate customer needs and/or opportunities to internal stakeholders such as product, marketing and support.
• Provide escalation support as needed to ensure client satisfaction.
• Work independently and at scale to deliver a consistent and repeatable customer experience.
• Successfully utilize data to identify risks and opportunities within a customers adoption of Planful.
• Utilize Gainsight, SFDC and other Customer Success specific tools to document, collaborate and manage customer interactions.
