Backend Engineer

• You will be diving deep into our foundational codebase, which glues together our entire product lines and partner connectivity, to develop new features, maintain existing features, and improve platform stability and partner connectivity. Your work will have a direct impact on thousands of customers’ short-term rental operations.
• Know current OTA connections inside-out to get the maximum benefit out of partner APIs, improve downtime resilience, and increase edge-case coverage.
• Implement and maintain integrations with future connectivity partners.
• Add your voice to product shaping discussions, ship new core platform features 0→1, and iterate based on customer feedback.
• Work with Devon whose favourite fruit is Raspberry.
• Use your software engineering chops to build magical user experiences, which are both simple for customers to use and simple for other engineers to understand and maintain.
• Partner with product, sales, customer success, and other engineers to develop and ship features that solve the right problems.
• Work within our “majestic” monolithic codebase, sitting on a Kubernetes-powered infrastructure-as-code stack.
• Implement and use observability tooling to track and debug post-deployment.
• Seek out and remedy performance/resource issues and feature bugs that have the most impact on business operations and customer experience.
• Refactor core platform and connectivity code to make it easier to understand, maintain, and test.

Product Engineer – Core, Connectivity, Laravel

Frontend Engineer

• You will be an important part of our product and engineering team, focusing on delivering magical user experiences to our hosts.
• After a few weeks onboarding, you'll dive right into feature development; building, improving and owning the experience that we deliver to hosts and their guests.
• Partner with product, sales, customer success and other engineers to develop, ship and own features that solve problems for our hosts.
• Help us shape the product - Use your knowledge and skills to help shape and improve something. (You won't get perfect specs and be expected to just execute on them)
• Move fast, look for opportunities to simplify, figure out how work can be broken into smaller chunks to ship an MVP sooner, or provide value to hosts faster.
• Work with Tinkara whose favourite fruit is Persimmon.
• Use your engineering chops to build magical user experiences, ship them, iterate on them, take ownership and accountability for making sure they are as good as they can be.
• Implement and use observability tooling to help you achieve the above. We use LogRocket and Sentry to help us track and debug production features.

Account Executive

• We build software for Airbnbs to rent themselves, with a state-of-the-art product and user experience.
• Hospitable.com is a remote-only and fully distributed company; we hire based on timezones, not countries.
• Help inbound leads (warm and cold) assess fit via Google Meet, email, live chat, and phone.
• Provide product demos, webinars, and onboarding sessions via Google Meet.
• Become a client-facing product expert for an evolving software product.
• Manage a pipeline from first touch to close using HubSpot.
• Create and test new email templates and sequences in HubSpot to engage leads and deliver value.
• Achieve quarterly sales targets in a high-volume environment and report host feedback to the team.
• Provide process feedback and explore new initiatives when proposed.
• Schedule: primarily North American time zones (PT/ET), reporting Monday through Friday.
