About the role

  • Support client SAP upgrade as Senior Business Analyst
  • Gather and document business requirements for Finance and Operations reporting, clarifying KPIs, metrics, and key data elements
  • Build requirement documents and transformation logic to guide development teams, focusing on data accuracy and lineage
  • Create mock-ups and sample reports to validate reporting needs with stakeholders before implementation
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and technical teams to translate requirements into actionable reporting solutions
  • Support user acceptance testing and maintain KPI definitions/documentation for governance and consistency
  • Analyze data patterns and perform SQL data analysis to identify joins and logic for developers
  • Create data mapping documents from source tables/columns to targets
  • Define KPIs and provide developers with required data sources for Power BI
  • Validate reports by querying data sources, running SQL, and verifying DAX logic
  • Work onsite 2-3 days per week in downtown Toronto; 6 month contract initially

Requirements

  • Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA) for SAP upgrade
  • Experience with SAP upgrades and SAP reporting
  • Gather and document business requirements for Finance and Operations reporting
  • Strong understanding of KPIs, metrics, and key data elements
  • Experience building requirement documents and transformation logic
  • Ability to create mock-ups and sample reports to validate reporting needs
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and technical teams
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and maintain KPI definitions/documentation
  • Data analysis experience using SQL; identify joins and logic for development
  • Create data mapping documents (source table.column -> target)
  • Understanding of BI tools such as Power BI and ability to define KPIs
  • Ability to validate reports, run SQL, and understand DAX expressions
  • Ability to work onsite 2-3 days per week in downtown Toronto
  • Contract/C2C engagement (6 month initial)
