System Administrator

• Under the general direction of the Head of IT, the Systems Administrator supports the organization’s technology operations across systems, networks, security, identities, applications, and end-user devices in a Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environment.
• The role serves as an escalation point for advanced technical issues and assists with infrastructure, applications support, implementation of modern cloud tools, and endpoint management.
• The position also contributes to system security and performance by supporting disaster recovery readiness, process improvements, automation, and documentation that strengthens daily IT operations.
• Works collaboratively with the IT Team to support operational stability, security and service quality, to include monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the museum’s physical and virtual servers, including operating systems, hardware, and services.
• Supporting incident response activities by isolating affected systems and participating in remediation when security issues are identified.
• Configuration and deployment of operating systems, applications, and client tools.
• Troubleshooting and resolving end-user support issues and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Supporting IT security policies and best practices, maintaining the operability and security of the museum's overall systems and networks at two locations.
