About the role

  • You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary propulsion engineering group focused on developing next-generation gas turbine engines for aerospace.
  • The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for propulsion engine components design.
  • The candidate is expected to use his/her expert knowledge of engineering discipline and standards, processes and tools to ensure compliance to customer and program requirements.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong mechanical design knowledge, application of aerospace practices and sound engineering judgment.
  • The candidate must use experience and judgment to accomplish goals, exercise Honeywell initiatives and generate innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in gas turbine mechanical design, with background in Gas turbine domain.
  • Experience working with tight tolerances, high-temperature components such as fuel atomizers, nozzles in combustor module or other mechanical components.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD / PLM (e.g., Siemens NX / Teamcenter, CATIA / Enovia) and FEA tools.
  • Proficiency in drawing interpretations, spec interpretations, manufacturing techniques, GD&T and Stackup analysis.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability and reliability in aerospace environments.
  • Proven ability to design mechanical components for gas turbine engines or aircraft systems or Aircraft primary structure.
  • Should be a Self-starter and work independently, with strong oral and written communication.
