About the role
- Reporting to our Engineering department, you will be responsible for defining and validating major mechanical components and assemblies (couplings, valves, lubrication units, pressurized systems, etc.). As an expert in your field, you will be the primary technical contact both internally (project managers, estimating/quoting team, Purchasing) and externally with our clients and suppliers.
- In this role, you will:
- Analyze customer specifications and define the technical specifications/requirements for mechanical equipment
- Produce key project documentation related to your responsibilities
- Validate supplier proposals to ensure they meet technical requirements and contractual certifications
- Validate suppliers' technical documentation (drawings, datasheets, etc.) for consistency with customer specifications and our internal needs
- Perform stress calculations and structural analyses (frames/chassis, piping systems, etc.)
- Provide technical support to internal teams and the estimating/pre-sales team during the pre-project phase
- Maintain awareness of technological developments and applicable standards/regulations.
Requirements
- Engineering degree with a focus on mechanical engineering
- Desire to work in a highly technical role
- Demonstrate rigor and strong analytical skills
- Good written and spoken English is essential
