About the role

  • Own day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
  • Build and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and growth initiatives
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and department heads to provide clear, actionable financial insights
  • Oversee monthly close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement
  • Manage relationships with external partners, including accounting firms, auditors, payroll providers, and tax advisors
  • Develop and improve financial processes, controls, and systems as the company scales
  • Support fundraising, board reporting, and investor-related financial analysis as needed
  • Take on ad hoc projects that help move the business forward, including special analyses, tooling improvements, and operational initiatives

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or related roles, with meaningful exposure to high-growth or startup environments
  • Prior experience owning or heavily contributing to financial operations in a fast-paced, resource-constrained setting
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to “do the work” — from building models to cleaning up data to improving processes
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience with modern financial systems and tools; able to quickly learn and adapt to new technology
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adhere to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset
  • Can quickly learn new technology systems and communication tools
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
