About the role
- Support pre-construction plan development across multiple markets by coordinating with architecture consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Review architectural drawings at each stage of development to verify quality, accuracy, constructability, and alignment with Homebound standards, budgets, and code requirements.
- Capture redlines, clarify revisions, and design feedback from project leads and ensure updates are accurately incorporated into revised drawings.
- Actively contribute to the development and refinement of Homebound’s exterior architectural styles, including materials, color palettes, and details.
- Review elevations, finish schedules, and architectural details to ensure consistency with Homebound’s architectural design standards and brand direction.
- Support pre-construction activities related to zoning, permitting, and local building codes.
- Assist in reviewing plans for compliance with jurisdictional requirements, setbacks, height limits, and other regulatory constraints.
- Maintain working knowledge of Homebound’s architectural standards, design principles, and construction specifications across all phases of design.
- Assist in establishing and entering architectural plan data into Homebound’s internal technology platform.
- Support drafting and redlining tasks as needed to help projects remain on schedule.
Requirements
- 2+ years of architectural experience, with exposure to residential architecture preferred.
- Exposure to supporting plan development, consultant coordination, and drawing reviews during pre-construction.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with a focus on delivering results and ensuring high-quality coordination across teams and external partners.
- Interest in exterior architectural materials, color coordination, façade composition, and detailing.
- Strong drafting and redlining skills are essential, with a keen eye for detail in reviewing and modifying architectural plans.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (required).
- Understanding of building systems integration, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both internal teams and external partners.
- Highly organized with strong time management, comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Quick to adapt to new technologies and workflows to support evolving project needs. A drive to innovate and improve design workflows.
